I vote for a trailer. used all of the above and a trailer is the most worry free and hassle free. just tie the truck down well....

Yeah...buddy from a local board just offered up his trailer that he tows his trail jeep with, plenty long and plenty wide.

I'd go for red or the bronc as a tow vehicle... towing with an RV through the mountains is not a fun ride, and is quite slow unless your rv is unusually overpowered....

RV=460...dunno what it can do with a load yet.

I know a guy betwen the lake and lincolnton that has (had?) a '79 rollback with 460/c6. I bet he'd sell it...

And I bet I'd be in the market if he really does wanna get rid of it.

How much does your rv weigh? that will tell the story. That, and what axle ratio does it have? My dad just replaced his '82 southwind with an '89 pace arrow. Deere chassis, Ford 460+C6. 4.88 gears, 33" tires. It weighs damn near 20,000lbs and that 460 is maxed out. won't ever be able to tow much with it. Yours is just a class c but IIRC it's pretty big... I'm thinking in the neighborhood of 15,000lbs... plus a bronc and a trailer... you'll probably be ok depending on your gear ratio.

And about the rollback, shoot me a pm if your actually interested at all. It has been a long time since I knew the guy and things change, but at the time he was considering selling it. He was a Chevy guy... his wrecker was a GMC and he was wanting a matching rollback.
