E40D Tranny Problem

Just today I have been having problems with the E40D in my '95 Lincoln Town Car...

It shifts fine...but after it is in OD...for some reason there is a bad...(oh what do I call it)...I dont know. It feels like a HARD shift, but it does it after it shifted so I dont know how I could word it.

Sorry, cant explain it too well...

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

You sure it's a E4OD it should be a 4r70w if im not mistaken, either way does it shudder when in od or does it feel like a bang, it could be that the engine is skipping when loaded up in OD.

Yeah, an engine misfire after the converter locks up can be quite harsh.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's a E40D... the shift pattern is P,R,N,OD,2,1

It used to shudder when it would go into OD, but it doesnt do it anymore.

It feels like a bang, but after it has already shifted into OD.
