Dual Shock Setup

Got any ideas, that dont require gettin the stock quad shock setup. I changed the stocks on my 92, and its a bit stuffer then it was, but its still sways a lot.

No sway bars. I need to stiffin it up. I want a quad shock setup up front. My F350 has no sway bars and its stuff, maybe caus of leaf spring front. Damn coil spring front. Its like u push it and it just keeps moving.

you probably need new springs then. that the route i would take first

You can replace the springs but a coil sprung truck will never ride as stiff as your F350. Thats just the nature of the beast.

dont you mean a coil spring truck will never ride like your f350?


on that statement i do have to agree. the point of coil springs and the reason they are on the f-150s is for comfort then strength as opposed to strength then comfort as a leaf spring is design for

Humm, yea i dont think id do the springs quite yet, with 95K on the truck, and 147 on the bronk and the bronk is much better, i think ill try a few things 1st.

Well, I changed the shockes, pro comps, and I got an alignment done, even tho I need to do the ball joints still, only 1 side was slightly lose. So its not too much of an alignment matter. The alignment was so far out it wasnt even funny, when you lift a truck ud better align it, stupid owners. Well it drives so much better, still could be a bit stiffer. Ill work on the dual shock setup for the front. It will be nice when im done.

I never understood that...folks drop the coin for a lift, but aren't willing to pay the $70 for a frickin alignment. Do they expect all the geometry to be the same???? As you said...stupid PO's. Glad she's turnin out well for ya.

Lol, yea its like doing a lift, and dropping the axle and, only putting coil spacers, and leaving the stock shocks from 92 in. Ha **** makes me wonder bout people.
