Dual Battery Setup, and some snow plowing pics

Well I decided id go dual batteries this year for plowing. Last year the 1 battery didnt hold up so well. Well see how it goes. Worked awesome today. Plowed from 530 to 12-1ish. Payin for its paint job. Put the plow on last night, glad it all worked.

Battery setup. Since I dont have factory setup, nor the room on the other side where it would go, air cleaner and washer/coolant tank in the way. I decided id put it on the right inner fener well, where all the emissions stuff used to be. I got a battery from work, out of a car that the guy just wanted it changed. It was smaller car battery vs the stock huge truck one. So it fit just perfect. I made a tray for it from some small angle iron, and welded it up. Then I just made new cables and hooked it up.

Had to move MSD over more so I could fit the battery in.

I wish i could get a plow for my baby thats one damn nice truck you got there i had my truck painted and got it fixed i bout it for 1000 bucks and it had been rolled on its side and had slid for about 300 or 400 feet it was like aa grinder to it but i got screwed on the paint and the body work the body work was not so bad but the paint is craking and the cleaar is chipping and the trim was not put on right so it fell off anf the driver side bent so i am going to get it painted again next summer and i am not going with some little body shop. this guy was older and could hardly walk i know he was the best in colorado in his time but he has just grom to old to do it i felt bad for him but my poor truck i hope next winter is a realy bad winter so becuae i am going to try to bye a plow for it, Nathan

heck ya some folks pay big $$ for snow plowin up here any where from 50 to 100 bucks an hour! thats why when i plow i use low range. takes longer and easyer on the truck

I was plowing today . Hate 2 say I have dual battery also and have to throw charger on it after couple days plowing . But I do small jobs constant lifting and turning of plow . Buts great on big lots .

I miss the old hydraulic pump setup I used to have .

Im looking for a mount for my bronk, caus its already beat, id rather use that then the truck. Yea i feel bad for my truck, dont worrry, it will get cleaned very well. I didnt use low in the parkin lot I did, I didnt need it, when I was doin drive ways I did use low. It was a super powder snow so it was light.

My battery light has started to come on when im goin up or turnin it today, and later in the day yesterday. I do wanna rebuild the alt, its a few years old.

Already got the salt blocks zip tied to the frame haha, batteries in bronk, as well as mount. Wheels gone, I left it on the ground, good luck drivin home on the drums and rotors.

Yea I got a 130amp 1, I bought 2-3 years ago. Truck does alot of sitting. Need to ck and see if the brushes are moving or are seized.
