Door panels

I haven't had much luck selling the door panels I pulled from the srap yard. Since they are not moving and I got them for cheap, I'm going to try and dye the inner part of the panel a lighter blue. Or I might dye them black and put in the wood grain panel. Before I try any of this they need a really good clean. What do you guys do/use to get these panels lookin new.

Hot water and a toothbrush. Sometimes I incorporate diluted simple green.

Oral B or G.U.M.? Joking aside, how long does it take you to scrub a panel with a tooth brush. What is simple green and where would I be able to find it. Plus the panels have what looks like spots of white house paint. Maybe paint thinner for that. I don't want to smear the panels plastic using the thinner, but what else could I use for that. When I pulled the panel I got the right side tray out of the arm rest. Its blue and plastic. I have no need for it. If anyone wants it PM me and I'll mail it out if its not to costly. First PM gets it.

Well...I guess I was a little broad, hot water and a rag to get the big surface items. Then usually a toothbrush to get the remainder of the stuff stuck on the textured surface as well as getting in the indentations. For anything else like paint and whatnot, a razor blade usually does the trick.

Simple green is a common cleaner available at most part stores, probably the best general purpose cleaner I've used.

Then if need be, primed and painted.

Ben has a good suggestion. If you are looking to sell maybe lower the price. You are trying to sell for $50 right? I bought DC panels new on eBay for that with imperfections in the color.

If I can't get $50 I'll just keep them. Ben I already washed down the panel with hot water and soap. I need a deep clean. I'll scrub them down with a tooth brush. A few beer a panel. Should be a good time.

I use lacquer thinner to remove the colour, then plastic prep before I dye them.

You don't want to scrub them as the grain will smoothen out and be gone.
