Door Locks on 95 F350 dually won't lock

I'm new to this forum and need help with door locks. First it was the driver side door but now both are not working properly. The doors will not close completely even when slammed hard. They still lock but do not completely close. Is this something I can fix or does it require a trip to the dealer?
I Love this truck! smilieFordlogo I bought it new and it now has roughly 120 k miles. Has anyone else had this problem and have any suggestions at all? We tried adjusting the post attached to the body jam but that has not resolved the issue. :headbang: Thanks for any help or ideas to fix this.

Hey, Thanks man! :) That's a great illustration! I'm gonna try to tackle it and see if I can fix it after reviewing your post. I've called several local body shops who won't touch it and advised me to take it to the dealer. It'll be pretty cool if I manage to fix it and if not I'm no worse off.

The hinges r not bad I have done them in drive way .

I can do it faster than in truck way I have big hands

Because of wires for speakers or windows I hang the door using ratchet strap from what ever you got . Garage door track tree limb. . Just put window down and wrap strap around top door . loosen bolts on hinges and adjust strap till balanced . You can let door slide back and get at bolts . this give you room to work .

Even tho it will take longer to get everything lined up where you want it when done its the worst part . time consuming .I take hing completely off truck

out line hinges on door and cab with tape or marker .
once door hung remove door bolts and move door back
now you can get bolts on cab remove hinges
replace pins, bushings ,hold open springs.
Re install just snug bolts so you can adjust
take time to line door to cab

Your done.

Any garage will do this . Body shops no . they want insurance money its to point here you can't find paint shop to just repaint a car.
And you would not like price at a Ford dealer.

Good luck

In my own world
I assume the doors won't LATCH, even though the heading says LOCK.

Look at the small posts sticking out of the door jamb. There is supposed to be a nylon sleeve on the post. When this sleeve wears out and falls off, the door will rattle, and seem like it is not latched

The sleeves can be bought at any help section in your parts supplier.

On my 95, the locking part inside froze up and wouldnt let the door shut. Even with terrible hinge pins the door should shut. I would look at the latch and see if its frozen or rusty inside the door.
