Door lock swap

Is it easy to swap out the door locks on a 96 F250?

Just bought it today and got locked out of it, had to slim jim it open. The 2 keys I was given don't work in the doors. Even though the PO had used one on the passenger door. I think the locks or keys are worn.

Did the previous owner have the keys made so one side fits the ignition, and the other side of the key fits the door? I've seen this done when the locks or ignition keys are replaced.

Nope tried both the original ignition key w/ black housing and the aftermarket key, flipped them, jiggled them, etc. won't unlock. I wound up finding a highly rated door/ignition set on amazon for like $90.

If it is the older body style, they are actually pretty easy to swap. The retainer clip comes out the back of the door, you pull the lock cylinder out, disconnect the linkage and reverse. It is best to have some needle nose vise grips to keep the linkage from getting away from you while you do this though. If it is the newer Super Duty body, then I have no knowledge of changing them.
