nah i can get same places as a 4x4 can.... just gotta know how to drive it..

That may be true, in some situations. Sometimes it isn't though. I have a buddy with 2wd Chevy on 31's (mud tires) and he can follow alot of the places I go, but he has to have it matted to the floor in second gear.. where I'm just creeping along.

btw, I think it would look good lowered, on some of those mustang lookin' rims

no... in a 8 inch snow/ice storm a couple years ago i still had my 82 F100 302 C6 2wd... and it had bald tires and i was passing 4wd's that were in the ditch... i've never ever gotten stuck except once in the median after a huge rain storm trying to turn around to help someone out...

Look we can all agree that the person driving is a large variable.

But 2wd is inferior equipment given snowy/icy circumstances. Heck I've lived through both in the past year. Four wheels pulling forward are better than 2.

You know Chris I was going to junk my 88 F150 out but since you started this one I have changed my mind. Now one Question why raise it then lower it back down? Just put it back to factory height stop working on it and give it to me for free. smilietease

That's the biggest thing right there. I tend to think I'm a relatively good driver, and hands down better than the majority of folks here in the south when the weather is inclement. However, I know there have been times where I've gone back to Wisconsin and had some old friends, that are of the female persuasion, that have carted me around in their little mid-size sedans that would drive circles around me and the Bronco. Plain and simple, it comes down to ability, experience and common sense...and you gain alot more of that the more you do it.

I've heard that a hundred times.
Pulled out more than a few of them too.
You ain't pulled me out tho have you? ;)

But yeah, I can get about half-stuck just backing into my driveway with
the '91 F150 I inherited and its sorry assed -1- wheel drive rear axle. :/

Never a problem with my 2 wheel drives I've got/had.

There is limitations on all of it tho. Got an amiga's brand new Jeep stuck in
the sand at Rocky Point Mexico one day. Several guys pushed it out no
sweat but still... :(

It was a matter of it being a -2- wheel drive... 1 in front and 1 in the back
and not having let any air out of the tires (which I didn't want to fool with).

Wouldn't have tried driving that far into the sand if it hadn't been a "Jeep
with 4 wheel drive" see? :)
