I was at O'Riley's this afternoon and saw some oil absorbent. The package stated that it could also be used for winter traction, to line the BBQ, and as cat litter. Further down the notice said it contained crystalin silica...which, in the event of frequent exposure to it's dust could cause lung disease! Also said it was considered a carcenogenic! And they recommend using this as cat litter!!!

That is truly wrong. No pet should be hurt because of a product that isn't really for their use.

That is the clay type absorbent. It is nothing but cat litter for people use it has to be labeled with all the health hazards for pet and animal use they don't have too.
