Can anyone tell me the difference between the distributor on a 351M and a 351W? are the shafts the same length?

They don`t interchange. But 351c, 351m, 400, 429, and 460 do. Of course with in that group you have points and electronic ignition, so be careful.

DSI came in 1974
DSII came in 1975
Every 351m/400,460 came with the same dizzy.
