diesel in a f100

has this been done? I found a cheap truck with a 7.3 liter International Diesel I was wondering if could drop this bad boy into my 71 f100 4x4 any help would be appreciated, as im deciding to buy the truck or not. thanks

im sure it can be done. be some custom fabrication needed but it like anything can be done.


the only worry id have if i was you is the front suspension on the F100 not being able to hold the weight of the diesel.

To take full advantage of having the diesel, you should swap in a Dana 60 up front, Sterling or Dana 70-80 rear, and box the frame. I've seen pix of a powerstroke, a 6.9, and a Cummins swap in a Bump.

Thats alot of work Ive seen a detroit put in a bump before but I dont think it was an f100. If I were to do it id start out with a 1 ton but youd still probly have to beef the springs up to make it sit decent.
