Agreed. Red doesn't have one, through a dual on Thunder cuz the bumpsteer with 37's was ridiculous but was fine beyond that and then also through a dual on the Bronco for stability in the woods. Didn't really notice much difference, and the systems were fine before I threw the stabilizers on.

As i understand the washers go ontop of the king pin spring
to pre-load the springs more, to adjust for the larger tire's...
I'm limited to the vehicles I've worked on so I've never saw
springs on king pins before.

There was always a careful fitting of the end-play bearings.
Some solid bronze and some rollers but never any springs
and for sure the object was to minimize the end play short
of binding it up. :) Like you talked about in #37. ;)

That's been my experience is all.

ps- And like Ben "said" stabilizers are basically a band-aid.

...never noticed a difference but I put a lot of high-speed
dirt-road miles on the Old Clunker and figured it wouldn't
hurt since I got it "free" from Sears and all. :) Turned in 8
old Sears shocks and got 4 Ranchos and a Rancho damper.
Standing in the show room had to call Chicago tho. LOL :)
The manager did a good job of making me look like I was
trying to get something for nothing :) but I knew better.
Back when I bought those shocks no receipt was needed.
Chicago agreed with me. ;)

Alright so i put 2 washers under each kingpin cap and there was a noticeable difference, this morning. Then i made a new track bar and put it to the other side of the truck ( to the driver side frame) and just drove it home and its practically gone, except for the bump steer. But i can deal with that until i get some stabilizers
