Ok it DID NOT do this before the lift.......my ires do have a bit of chop but pretty sue that's not causing it...anywhere between 30 and 50 MPH if I hit a pothole or bump in the wrong pay the truck will shake violently until I come to a complete stop.....I've been under the truck and checked the tightness of everything 2 fold...including yesterday with my little misadventure with the coil spring nut beeing excessively loose.......any thoughts or ideas as to what may be causing this? Also, I think my main tierod is bent...I have a replacement just procrastinating.....Thanks guy!I'm kinda afraid to drive it.....especially raining out like it is now....

Id jack it up and get the wieght off the front end and check the ball joints wheel bearings and aythin else that has to do with the front end.

Yeah Junior it's tough to say-- that could be coming from any number of places. I'd check ball joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings. Then make sure every since nut and bolt its tight.

And if you've got a bent tie rod (and a new one waiting to be installed), why not just replace it and rule that out as a possibility? Yeah I don't see how a bent tie rod could really cause a speed wobble but why not just get it over with...?

Yea I just read Don's thread...wish I'd seen it earlier.....I also have jacked the front up and checked everything bearings and balljoints are tight.....I think i will throw that tie rod in and check the tightness on the steering chit.....

Alright as I told Don...everything on my Bronco was in really good condition and didn't need replacing...and everyone told me I wouldn't need an alignment. Well, as I kept crossing things off the list...all it came down to was needing an alignment...$70 and an hour later...no more DW. Just food for thought. It's my understanding, that it's almost 'mandated' that you get an alignment after throwing on a lift...and since I didn't see it suggested...you may wanna go that route.

Well the only reason that I didn't suggest an alignment is because he said the speed wobble doesn't come until he runs over a ditch at high speed... Sounds to me like a loose component.

That's exactly how mine was, hence the reason no one said it would be in need of an alignment. And Don has done alot on his too with the same results.

Jr How tight did you get that coil spring nut? Nothing to really do with your problem because i already know you fixed it (Hopefully) but i replaced my coil and wanted to use some lock tite but didnt have any, and wasnt to enthused about tightening something like that with a box end wrench. I did get it to the point where i had my foot up on the frame to get good leverage. lol
