Cruise Control Problems

Hey guys and gals I have a pain in the nexk problem with the cruise control buttons on my 02 F250 SD V-10
I have done the troubleshooting and know the switches on the wheel need replacing. trouble is it looks like I'll be messing with the air bag. can nyone tell me if it does and how much of a pain in the butt it'll be to swap out?

Just disconnect the battery and wait for a few minutes.
