This is when she first got home, before I put her in the garage where she will be living for a while.

What're your plans for this? That looks GOOD compared to anything you'd find on the road around here! Is that an Ohio truck or did you have to go find it further south?

The truck came from down in Kentucky. It has been kept in a attached garage here in Ohio for 15 years. Not moved not started or anything. I have the engine freed up (turning by hand only so far). The engine has a cam in it (not sure what size) it also has the heads milled (don't know how much) I'm not even sure what size the engine is yet. Although it looks like a 289 or a 302, more like a 302 from the looks of the water pump, but that really doesn't mean a lot either.

Those scratches you see on the passenger side of the hood, are where a horse bit the hood.... I know! There are a few other places on it where the horse bit it but that will be a later posting since I have met my quota at this time.

Thanks guys for the replies. And yes Texas nomad it is a short bed.
O'rattlecan I'm going to do a frame up restoration. But I'm starting on the cab and working my way down to the frame as much as possible.

UTFball68 I will start a build thread. It will however take a while a year or longer to finish this build, since I work second and can't make to much noise at night. But I will keep at the pictures and any info I come across concerning this F-100. How about the picture posting limit? It said I had reached mine at 8 pictures, is that per day, thread, week, month?

eignub It's not original, I know that it had a 6cyl in it. The guy I bought it from couldn't remember what him and his buddy put in it. His buddy was the engine guru and told him what would fitup and work.

Mine is a 59 as well. Kinda on the twin side of yours. Mine has the 6 in it..all original. I am 3rd gen owner.
Mine is just back from a body shop where it has sat for two years never making it to their shops interior. Grrrrrrrrr So I just said bring my guy home. (yes its supposed to be a she but since I am a "she" I choose to not get warm and shmoozy about any other "she") He looks worse than when he went to them but it is just from sitting outside on the flatbed. I have begun the photo documenting process in prep for the restoration. It will not be a back to original but some dear Ford friends are actually going to decide its new look and features. (the engine and tranny will remain orig as that is a non change because of personal reasons)
I cant wait to see pics of how your looks as it goes through its transformation. maybe i will get some ideas.

Ww that is awesome. My dad's first truck was a '60 just like that one. :D
