Well i got out of my truck today and smelt coolant.. Thought GREAT! Well i popped the hood and my tank was out of that rear slit, and all my coolant dumped out (CAP NEVER SEALS!) Am i the only one this happens to? Anyone elses cap dumps coolant out even when its snapped into place?...

Same problem. It sucks great big donkey goobers, but I'm living with it for now until I get the rebuild started, then I'll look into making some mods.

Can't say that's ever been an issue for me. Knock on wood.

If he's having the same problem I am, the cap doesn't seem to seal right on the overflow, or the pressure is popping the cap off, one or the other. I'm going to try a mod with a Cheby overflow tank with a screw on cap when I do the rebuild and see how that goes.

Yeah if your reservoir is overflowing then I'd venture to say that either you've got too much coolant in the system or the rad cap is going bad like Robert said. You'll notice the tank has a "Cold fill" like-- that's where your coolant should be when the truck is cold.

I used a zip tie to hole mine in place. It happens. Mine seaps out the cap.
