All my receipts are mixed in with business expenses for the last 4 years.:headbang:

I would dig them all out Mark..we had to produce all the receipts for the bikes and they took them at full value, not the discount amount that was shown.

Yeah...receipts were a huge help in getting the figures I wanted...especially with the Hagerty appraiser.

^^^Get a professional opinion and a quote on what a similar paint job would cost.

I've been with Hagerty since they started. He and his wife used to drive to our Century Boat Club boat shows in Manistee, Michigan. It must be different with cars and trucks as I've never had to get an appraisal. I've just had to send a picture of the boat I was insuring and the stated value I wanted it insured for....that's it.

From Hagerty's site:

All coverages are not available in all states. This is only a general description of coverage. All coverage is subject to policy provisions, exclusions and endorsements.

Maybe my age had something to do with this one?????-
We typically do not require appraisals. If we need further documentation supporting a vehicle's value, we will contact you during the underwriting process....Hagerty has a hand-picked network of independent appraisers located across the country to help ensure that only the most knowledgeable and courteous appraisers are inspecting your vehicle.

And then in my policy, I seem to remember them defining different coverage verbiage and what could be expected from each.

Was a tad off on my premium and it's going out next month....$228. We weren't required to get an appraisal, but it lowered our cost a little and one was already on file from the PO.

^^^I've gotta renew in August, and I think I'm gonna get a couple more parts covered as well.

I did the estimate on there sight and the standard insurance was $30 a year cheaper then what I have now at USAA.
I also typed in 11,500 for the value and it wouldn't except it. When I changed it to 10,500 it excepted. So something tells me they already new what I was paying before I finished. They also knew I had a 04 E350 before I finished putting in all my imformation.

^^^Is USAA the middle man...or have you ever requested a price quote before, or have an open application?

I don't think USAA is a middle man. And no I never requested a price quote. I just called when I bought it and added it to my policy. I didn't even have it yet but I figured I'd better insure it for the trip here on the car hauler just in case.
