Codes...

Got around to pulling my codes today...

I either have 3 2 digit codes or 2 3 digit codes...
Which should i be lookin up?
Cause i have not a clue. The 3 digit codes seem to make more since to me though.

As always any input is appreciated...

As i suspected...
code 172: Hego system indicates system lean (right)
Code 332: EGR valve not opening...

I have the EGR delete so the second one makes since, the first one i am thinking 02 sensor? Is that right bad sensor reading lean would explain why the oil had alight gas smell since the sensor is telling the truck to run richer when unneeded?

Or its telling you that theres a problem with a vacuum leak on the right side.

Thats doubtful. A lean condition can be a misfire. Depending on what causes the misfire, it may or may not put excess fuel in the oil pan. A vacuum leak could affect the fuel pressure regulator. Lots of things to look at.

Yea i see the point there... I found a bad vac hose on the right side will replace it this afternoon... Change oil and go from there.
