Clockspring or not?

1994 F150, 4.9L, automatic
I replaced the clockspring (from Oreilly's) in my truck couple of months ago. It did NOT fix my wipers (errattic on intermittent setting) nor cruise control and gives me only a weak horn (installed a new horn today but still weak). This truck sat for at least a year, maybe more before I bought it so I wondered if there is a good reason that the new clockspring didn't fix all the problems I was expecting it to. Anybody had a similar experience with a truck sitting unused for a long time? Thanks.

Well the wipers shouldn't be affected too much by the clockspring-- if you have finicky wipers then you probably need to replace the multi-function switch.

As for the other issues-- not too sure.

Wipers are a seperate issue.
Did you make sure the clock spring didn't move when you were putting it on?

Was the steering wheel perfectly straight?

Make sure your connections under the column are tight.

Push the wires towards the connectors are making contacts.

The multi function switch fixed my erratic wiper issue.
