Earlier this week I had a tilt column come in with corresponding and complete speed control system. I have another tilt column being shipped in the next couple of days with a sport steering wheel. I'm working a deal for a pace truck orange tailgate trim panel. And out for delivery as we speak is a new in box Holley Truck Avenger 670cfm carb. Even better, I'm always a day late and dollar short...but not this time...the getting was good. $480 for all of it, including shipping (potentially another $100 for the tailgate panel), you can't even get the carb for that price. The excitement has me stripping down and running around in my birthday suit. That is all.

Ehhhh...always wanted tilt columns...but they always seemed to be 300+. So when I saw these trucks being parted out (actually CL ads other guys sent me)...I made offers and they took it. Plan is to put tilt and cruise in Red, still not sure what all the differences are between a 77 and 79, but I took a look at the books here and Scott's supermotors page and Dennis says he knows how to get the job done...so I think I can handle it.

Then the other tilt, I made an offer on at the same time, to my surprise, both guys accepted the offer...it's uncool to back out, and for the price I figured it was worth it. And it comes with a Sport steering wheel...actually posted it a little while back. Not sure if I'm gonna throw this one in the Bronco, or possible use as parts if need be, or just resell the column and wheel on ebay and make my money back.

Red needs at least a carb rebuild, and a month or so ago when I ran it, fuel came pouring out of darn near every orifice...so I figured rather than fool with a rebuild, I'd just go new. The 650 Street Avenger on the Bronco is gonna go on Red and the 670 Truck Avenger is gonna go on the Bronco.

So basically, had some money burning a hole in my pocket, wanted to spend it on the rigs, got the stuff at a smoking deal and it'll be creature comforts I always wanted to add anyway.

Both are autos...

Yeah...that was too steep for wall art. I think opening bid was over $300.
