Right-- except that normally when you use the PA you're eliciting a response from someone nearby. Can't hear their response if the window is up

Oh yeah Chris ya need to move the mount for the mic up on the dash so its easier to use and its just right there and ya dont have to reach for it.

I don't wanna drill the dash. I won't be using the CB often enough to warrant the need for a closer mount. This one works fine for my purposes. When I'm wheeling and using it a lot, I'll just leave it under the armrest of the third seat so I can grab it real quick when I need to.

They have magnetic ones but I dont know where you would be able to stick it with all that plastic. Theres also little hooks that you can get from a truckstop that hook on the back of the mic and then ya can hang it wherever ya want and not have to worry about it gettin messed up.

Did you get the antenna yet here are a few shots of where I put mine. You really need to be in the center of the roof, with no obstructions around it.... You will get the best reception there....

I have a roof mount permatight type set-up and love it.

and a shot of the cb in the truck...

and my swr meter, I am very happy with it...
