So, I have the cargo light switch in the back of the cab - driver's side near the roof - and my question is: why does it switch on the interior lights? Do Ford and I have different opinions on where cargo resides?

You should also have a light on the outside middle back of the cab. That is what it is intended for.

Dome Light - Cargo Light are designed to come on at the same time.

Okay. I just wasn't sure if that was the intention from the factory. (Cargo light is probably burnt out...)

I have the same switch in Red, and I get they're supposed to come on at the same time, but then why is there a switch then? I just don't understand why we would have the need to turn the cargo light on and off. Anyone know the reasoning or rationale behind this?

Ben it is to get that romantic glow with out having to open the truck door.

Well that's what I use it for, I just had no idea Ford was so on the ball.

The switch is to turn it off

Thank you captain obvious. I just don't know who would be sooooo bothered by the cargo light coming on when the door opens that Ford decided an on/off switch would be a good idea.

Am I the only one or does my cargo light operate independently of the dome light? The cargo light does not come on when the dome light comes on, and conversely, the cargo light does not shut off when the dome light is shut off.

Dammit Doug...went to turn my switch on and blew a fuse. Put a new fuse in and blew it again. Now I get to figure out why that happened.
