I don't think I've ever posted this before, but here is what the Build sheet from Ford looks like and is Free, but can take forever to get. Pretty cool info.

This is what the Marti Report Looks like and it's the Deluxe Report which has a bit more info, but it's $40.00 and I got it in a couple days via email.

Thats really neat - been meaning to ask this for a while - is it possible to trace the ownership history of our trucks with the VIN - just interested to know where my truck has spent its life

It's possible. You'd have to talk with your DMV and pay a fee to get the records. Depending on your DMV, they may give out the info or not, I don't know. There are websites that are supposed to be able to access records for a fee as well, but I've never tried any.

Trouble is i'm in New Zealand and our LTNZ (your DMV) don't care about used import vehicle history as long as there is a deregistration certificate or a transfer of title to prove that a vehicle hasn't been stolen at the time of importation.

Good post, Buck.

I got the one from Ford a couple of years ago...looks just like yours. It's a cool thing to have on file.

I've never done the Marti Report, but I've been tempted. I didn't know it incuded the info on the dealer and the stats on the options. That's awesome!

I literally destroyed my original build sheet trying to get out of the seat in 1989

Good thing I still have the window vehicle make up list.

Having the original build sheet would be very cool. Having that original window sticker is very cool too. Most people probably don't even think about keeping that. Have you ever posted a pic of that?

Cool stuff Buck...since the Ford folks say Red doesn't exist, I've been meaning to see what Marti has to say about that.

I remember you saying something about that. Marti's standard report which is pretty much what that Ford build sheet states is around $15. So, it's much cheaper.

Yes, but it was on my ClubFTE site

I'm presently looking for it on 7 Hard drives

The Build Sheet for the '74 F-250 Super-Cab

I think I am going to spend the money to get 2 Deluxe Reports to find out what dealers these trucks came from. I'm not even entirely sure the '74 F-250 Super-Cab is a CA truck, it was built in Kansas City, but that doesn't mean it isn't a CA truck.
