They are more common then you think.

I did something similar with my explorer.

If I do another explorer it will be a 4 door. I'll cut the roof and make a small bed back there.

He shoulda cut the back of the cab off a Ranger and grafted it on there so that the rear window wouldn't be so dang huge.Other than that it's pretty cool.
