Are the body mouldings on our trucks stainless or aluminum?

The windshield trim on a 77 and earlier is S/S

i put that same windsheild moulding on both my trucks also ford never should have changed that the newer plastic trim looked good at 1st but looks like crap
after 30 years or so

I bought 6 kits of that lock strip for my truck in 2005 for my truck once it is repainted.
