Hmm. Yea if you would be able to figure out what gear would work best. That's be awesome, I'm not a speed racer due to the fact big ol swampers don't like to go fast. So I'm not lookin for highway gears. Just somethin more. Suited for 40-42" tires. And bout 450 horse

Alright...not accounting for OD (which should be somewhere around 70% so easily enough calculated) with 42" Swampers and a highway speed of 65mph and 5.38's, you'd be right at 2800 rpm. With 5.72's you'd be right at 3000 rpm. So 200 rpm different...honestly, I think I'd go with the 5.72's if that's all the difference.

in florida, they are about a quarter a dozen, unless you go aftermarket, but anything aftermarket is espensive! :)

You realize JR resides in Florida. That being said, I haven't noticed that rocks or rockwell stuff is that difficult to find or even that expensive, but that it usually needs to be shipped. And something that heavy won't be cheap to transport. Hell, I know where a handful of Rockwell front/rear sets are right now for under $2000. I think that's extremely fair considering most D60's run 8-1500 alone and a rear sterling will usually run near $3-500

So in your honest opinion foR42's you'd recommend 5.72's. They'd still be street friendly like I said I only go on the highway once in a while

There's only a 200 rpm difference at 65...which you won't even really notice, that number will get smaller the slower you go...so I'd definitely consider going with the 5.72's.

And while you're doing that, you can buy me some gears and locker for my Bronco. Deal?
