how did ya screw up thunders motor?

Spun a bearing

Glad to see you are still alive and kickin'....I'm sure there will be be a suitable job that will turn up...just must suck azz waiting though.

Thanks man...and yeah, the waiting game does suck. I've seen too many times when folks take jobs because they feel they need to take it. Luckily, at this point, I don't feel like I need to settle and wind up doing something I don't want to for the next 5...10...30 years. When it's right, I'll know it.

That sucks bout Thunder, hope ya get er fixed.

Good luck on findin a job man.

Thanks bud...appreciate it.

sounds like its 521 stroker time to me ben!
good to hear from ya man!

My thoughts exactly...but she'll probably have to sit for a while to acquire the funds. However, got a buddy (who's a bow tie guy) and is a local engine building legend and he offered to work on it with me and teach me a thing or two.

Well fellas...I finally landed a job. I'll be an accountant for Delhaize-America, they own alot of the big grocery store names on the east coast. I lucked out and got a position that's centered in their Food Lion headquarters, so I only have a 10 minute drive to work every day. I begin work Monday, so now I'll be able to chat with you guys on my lunch hour...on top of that, I'll have some cash to get wireless installed at the parents' house (yes I'm gonna live with them), so then there aren't 6 other people fighting over the only internet connection (the main reason I'm hardly ever on). So all in all I'm extremely happy and will hopefully be able to spend more time with my FTF family in the near future.

Congratulations on your new job Ben! Glad to hear about it. 10 minutes form home??!! Wow!! It takes me that long just to get my act together for my sometimes 2 hour commute from the city house!

Best of luck with your new job!

You fit in a cubicle?
Or did you have to knock some walls down so you can stretch out?

I never understood how somebody could work in a cubicle all day, not tryin to dog on you.
But i couldn't do it...

Good to have ya back.

Thanks...good to be back

You fit in a cubicle?
Or did you have to knock some walls down so you can stretch out?...

I guess as far as cubicles are concerned, it's about as roomy as they get. It's 12x12 with all the office equipment you could dream of.

Same here...and it's already wearing on me. But it's a job I don't mind, close to home and great benefits. So for now, I'm not gonna be too picky. Not to mention the fact, when I would work on the farm or in the die shop, I would find myself not wanting to do as much physical labor/tinkering on my rigs after work or on the weekends. Now that I'm in a cube, it's all I can think about.
