BED BAR FOR 79 F150 shortbed flareside

anybody know where i can find one? ive looked all over and its so hard to find them for my truck. Id like to find something to mount lights on.

Like a headache rack? I've looked for one for mine but to no avail.....Might look into a Carr Lightbar that clamps to the driprails of your truck....Nice truck and welcome to the site man!

Thanks man, yea i just got it, found it on craigslist for 5500, not a dent or scratch on it, even the bed is dent-free, it runs like a champ too, 351m. i feel really lucky!

Your's is a custom aftermarket thing...but I believe there was time there where Ford did a faux vinyl look with crinkled textured paint.

If you can weld, there are some you could get from Summit you could put together yourself.

Completely the wrong style plus I don't think it would be long enough to touch the inner wheel well.

If that shortbed were mine the first thing I would do is pull that vinyl top (sponge) off. It is nothing more than a place for water to sit and cause rust issues.

Just a side note some of the 80's model FSB's had factory rollbars as well. i know cause I had one. Definitely check out Summit for what Ben was saying. Also, I don't know what your dollar range is but LMC has some decent looking ones as well.

I would look in the local classifieds for one. One from a styleside wont fit cause the bed is wider. Your best bet would be to try to find one for a toyota or somethin similar in size.
