BBK Shorties

Hey all. I have a chance of getting brand new BBK shortie headers. However im not a fan of shorties, nore do i think they will work because they are off of a 94 Cobra mustang with a 302. Whats all your opinions?

Im not really interested in paying for a new exhaust system becuase i just had a new one made. But if i could maby sell my old one then i think it could maby be worth it....

Those shorties won't mate with the stock truck Y-pipe and will make a custom piece difficult to fit due to frame and firewall contact.

Ill 2nd that. I put my 88 5.0 stock ones in to see how it fit on the drivers side, its right on the firewall.

Ford Racing makes shorties that they claim will fit to existing y-pipes, give them a look.

No pics of em wth, 30 bucks il buy em rite now. Lightning headers huh? Use factory Y pipe and everything?

I called about the headers. Hes sending me pics and il probably buy them tonight. Now JR how do you like em? Do they sound better than the factory manifolds? Not really concerned about the power (im sure there will be more low end. Also he said they will bolt rite up to my stock Y pipe, which would be awesome, Headers, no cats with a 40 series flow, 2 and a half inch pipe.

I'm interested to see how those turn out. I think those headers are legal in CA so I could use them too if they're worth it

Yea hopefully they look good in the pics, imma buy a bag of sand for the sandblast and make em look like brand new.

Just go through those classifieds every now and then you can usually find stuff you've been lookin for and even some stuff you never thought of I like em alright.....one thing I can say from experience is bolting them up can be a pain..however they will bolt right up to your wye pipe and Chris i think they are smog legal.....they made somewhat of a difference in sound made the sound from the tailpipe a lil smoother and it gives you a bit more space to do your tuneup.....

Chris if you wanna be patient and you look up your laws on these when i get longtubes I'll give ya my shorties for the cost of shipping.....I only paid 20 bucks for em anyways.....
