I want to build them but dont really have the time to between work, and school starting again soon, does anyone have any they would part with?

Or does anyone have pics/diagrams/dimensions/advice on building some? cause if i cant find any im gunna have to cowboy up and build them even though it will take forever with the amount of free time i have right now :hammer:

you might could ship it as a package thru UPS instead of as freight. It its under 150lbs then you should. We get bumpers every now and then at my hub, we just treat them as hardware. Don't know if this would help you with the cost or not.[confused]

John I forgot you worked for UPS! Whatchu think it would cost to ship a bumper this large? I would estimate that it weighs no more than 100-120 lbs.

well since I only deal with getting the packages unloaded and then loaded in the next semi I really have no clue. Try https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc/request?loc=en_US&WT.svl=PNRO_L1 as yall know package and location better than I do. It should give you a pretty good estimate. I did from Long Beach, CA to Seattle, WA (only places I could think of) with a 150Lb package and it came out to roughly $120 thru ground.

going to log into my UPS account, I might be able to small discount...

$1 per pound to ship and any oversize charges.

Go to the website, put in the guess of weight/size, and both zip codes. That will give you a close estimate.

I checked on the hitch you had (guessed at 30 pounds) through UPS and it was around $30 to get it here. That was a rough guess.

yeah, the oversize charges would be the biggest deal. We got a package once that only weighed maybe 30 or 40 lbs but was probably 7ft longx5ft wide and a couple inches thick cost over $600 to ship, most of that being that it was oversized so much.

*side note, tried logging into my account, haven't been on it i probably 6 or more months and got locked out for to many tries on my password, lol.

Sry, looked all over my account and it turns out we don't get discounts on shipping, but we do on shipping supplies. i do find it weird that we get discounts on everything from clothes to new cars but not on shipping. I'll be talking to people at work tomorrow. I'll let yall know if I find something new out about it.

other things to look into; LTL carriers like Yellow, Roadgay, ABF and Overbite
have what are called HUB TO HUB freight services that could save a few bucks if you are both close to any. They also do home pickup, but hub to hub is cheaper.

Im in Monroe which is 5 hours north of Portland.
I want that bumper but idno i didnt just spend 10 hours today mounting and wiring sweet offroad lights on my stock one

I'l have to think about it and look into prices alittle more cause i meen it would be like a 20 minute job to swap to the new bumper

O yeah My zip is 98272 maybe someone can figure out the distance/cost and whatnot, my computer wont load the site that you linked too

thanks yall!

what ive been able to find out is for UPS standard ground it should be $95 to ship if skank's estimate of 100-120 lbs is right

Im interested in Polarbear's idea of possibly chain-passing it up to WA, how could we go about the logistics of that?

Or John could just get us a sweet deal :D

That'd be the next piece of the puzzle, wouldn't it? Heck, if we can get a friggin' dog from Minnesota to Cali, we should be able to get a stoopid bumper from Cali to Washington.
