Anyone install a 4 inch rough country lift? I'm having trouble

I'm fixing up a 1979 4x4 F250 fulltime and I added a 4 inch Rough Country lift with rear springs and i'm having some issues I'm hoping to get some help with. First, the rear u bolts that came with the kit are to short and don't stick through the plates on top of the springs at all. I was told I need to use the stock rear lift blocks. I've consider not using them so the bolts would work and I would like the truck to either sit level or have the front slightly higher than the rear. So, my first question is for people who used this same lift, did your rear u bolts work? Did anyone not use the stock blocks and if so how does it sit? I can't see how mine sits with and without the blocks because it's currently just a frame and axles. Another issue I noticed is because of the lift when I put the rear shocks on, first on the frame then hold them straight, the end of the shock ends up, well, 4 inches above where they need to be, so how should I fix this issue? I would rather not mount the bottom first then just crank the top down. Any thoughts on either issue? and just because I don't think it would be worth starting a new thread here's a few more questions I have. Any suggestions on where to get extended stainless brake hoses? I've only been able to find the front and rear sold separately and the rear was $153, kinda steep for me. '60's mustangs and '80's rangers are only $100 for all them. Does anyone make a new transfer case mount? I haven't been able to find any that weren't for hi-boys. thanks for any help.

Welcome to FTF. When you buy lift kits (or drop kits) you can get the bare minimum or get everything you require, ie. shocks, brake lines, u-bolts (never re- use the old ones) e- brake, etc. I'm surprised that Skyjacker wasn't up to standards Mark, seems now that things are poorly bundled together (quality control?) What starts off as a simple swap of parts becomes so much more, :(
It's the body lifts that are a pain because it affects all the lines and linkages etc. Usually with a spring change it's just new shocks and u-bolts.
