Anyone have an exterior light bulb chart for a 1979 f150

Is there a chart that shows the exact bulb numbers for a 79 f150. did a search and did not show what I really needed. confused as to the 1156 vs 1157 and so on. want to upgrade to new LED front, rear turn/stop and sides and reverse bulbs. Little confused as to what will fit and the parts guys at the store say it will fit without offering and explanation. I would like to get a chart to compare if one is out there, as the best and brightest unfortunately seem to come from china

Duncan posted this chart out of the '79 owners manual. Page 155.

An 1156 bulb is a single filament bulb(like backup lights, whereas an 1157 is a dual filament bulb that would be used for turn signal/park lights, etc.

There are three images.

The 1157 is a two filament bulb.Brake/ running lights
the locking nubs are offset and only go in one way.

1156 is a single filament bulb for license plate lightm

I just did most of the bulbs in my 04 F150 and the wifes 06 Escape. Very happy with the results and SBL.
Best advise I can give for led lighting is you get what you pay for. The are alot of low quality ones out there. Go to that site. And read as much info as you can.
