Well I knew somebody would know, And I thank all who took a shot at guessing. I just wanted to know and some will not agree, I think that is the richest looking color on one of these trucks I have ever seen. What I mean by that is some colors look sporty some look fast and some just look like *** but if you lined up 25 trucks all different colors that would jump out as just being a classy looking rig. I think that would also be a great look for a resto-rod style truck.

Bill, what would you and Dennis do if everyone had all this literature and was well informed? And why buy literature when we can just open a page of "The B and D encyclopedia".;)

Flatheads Forever

I buy lit for the rigs I own. Also assorted other material as it catches my eye. Most of it is flathead related.

I know the early F series trucks inside and out - helps when you take one down to the frame and rebuild it piece by piece, then drive it daily for 10 years. And I'm pretty comfortable discussing mid-80s 1/2 ton 4x4s with 5.0 EFI. 20 years of driving one and 330,000 miles later I've had most of it apart and back together as well.

I don't spout off about rigs or equipment I am unfamiliar with. But I'll also take issue with a parts jockey when told such and such doesn't exist cause it's not in the book, and I'm standing there holding it in my hand. My dad was a parts man at a tractor/implement dealer and I know the lit and books or micro-fish are only as good as the guy reading them.

We're lucky to have Bill and Dennis here.
