Anybody tried this alternator on their dent?

It is a 100 amp, one-wire GM alternator with a ford-style mounting. Does the alternator ground itself through the mounting bolts?

I want to upgrade the headlights with relays.

Not the answer you're looking for at all...but if you're upgrading alts, have you considered going 3g????

I thought about that Ben, but I think that might be a bit overkill. I don't have electric fans or 10,000 watt driving lights:) , but I want to install the Daniel Stern relay kit, and go for a little brighter headlight.

Ifd you have a place that rebuilds alt's near you, You could have them change the out put of the one you have.

I do, Mark. I didn't know that was possible to do. I'll look into that. Thank You.

I'm not sure what they have to do , but I had one done for a jeep that I put a winch on and needed some extra amperage. They also painted the inside of it to make it marine (boat) grade. Made it good for 4 wheelin.

If you are doing this just to have brighter lights I had no issue just installing the relays. I'm still using the stock alternator.

3g here, pretty economical and easy to do.
