Another Steering Question

I have the column pulled from my '79 4x4. The steering shaft was really loose due to the plastic piece at the bottom of the tube. Anybody know what that piece is called and where I could get a new one? I was also searching the site and wondered if there was a set of diagrams available to look at?

Hard ***? I doubt it, just stating a fact. Usually when someone responds to your question in a post the proper thing to do is acknowledge that you at least read it. Nothing worse than replying to a thread only to have the OP never respond back.

It is ALWAYS best for a member to UPDATE the original thread of a topic.

Common sense :
We as members wanting to be HELPFUL to you don't want to have to go looking for the original to see what has been posted already.

Think about it.. would you, wanting to help someone, be told there is another thread with all the info on it and you are expected to go look for it ?

I was going to post illustrations for you but because you started this thread, it would have been a waste of time.
