I got my air filter top and bottom in the mail today! Thanks Sean...

Going to start sanding it down to get the rust off, then going to shoot a clear over it.

You're welcome. Try some steel wool first. It should come off. I used to just wipe it in WD40 and it would usually clean up.

Before I started sanding, I'd try coke rubbed with Aluminum foil or some actual chrome polish.

Well, I took some windex to the filter housing today. Also hit it with some polish. Came out okay...

Then I got the wonderful idea that maybe some soap could get the job done. Yep!

Thanks! Now I just need:

Chrome valve covers, chrome oil pan, chrome dip sticks, chrome tranny pan, chrome overflow reservoir, chrome brackets and hardware, chrome vacuum reservoir, chrome alternator and bracket, chrome headers and I'm done. :D
