Advice on a couple of issues.

Hey guys, been lookin for some answers to a few issues with my truck and haven't found them o other posts so here goes:

I have an 02 SD 5.4L 4x4 just had a COP go bad and the dealer said they came up with a P0720 and P0700 trouble code, funny cuz I checked the codes the day before and there were none. I know the 720 code is for the OSS, but not sure if I should replace it, or leave it alone since I have experienced NO abonormal shfiting, driving, or indicator lights.

The other issue is a creaking on the front driver side whenever I go over any kind of bump. Bought the truck from the Original Owner with a 2" thick file of all maintenance records and found that he took it in for this and was advised that it was a pittman arm. He refused the service at that time. I thought that is what it was but when I got under the truck the pittman seemed very solid and had no play or slop to it at all. I have left it alone since it is just a minor annoyance at this point, but it is getting worse. Any advice/experience/ideas with this would be greatly appreciated.

The o2 codes can be a result of the COP misfires. As far as the creaking, one at a time, inject some grease into pitman arm, idler arm, tie rod ends, ball joints.
