AC compressor

It should say on the hoses. I know it's written on mine, the hoses are #12 5/8" coming from the evaporator to the compressor and #8 13/32" leaving the compressor on the high side. In searching for hoses and fittings, I'm sure yours fittings are #8 and #10.

I can make out from your pic that the hose coming from the evap to the compressor is 5/8ths, so it probably has #12 hose with a #10 fitting. The valves you linked to, have 7/8ths 14 thread for the suction and that is a #10 fitting. Thats what I determined I would need, is the #10 fitting going to a #12 hose. I don't see any writing on the other hose, but just like the first valve, the description of the discharge valve it says it has a 3/4ths 16 thread and that is a #8 fitting. So I would say you are right.

Yeah, I think so and that Sanden compressor should work just fine.

Well I bought a York to Sanden conversion kit and wouldn't you know, the compressor pully won't line up with the rest of em. I think its because I'm using the L&L A/C bracket for my engine swap rather than a stock bracket. I guess I figured it would work since my old York lined up just fine. I could probably make it work, but I don't want to modify much else like drilling new holes in the bracket and cutting my fan shroud. Oh well, I tried and it didn't work out. So, I'm just going to go with one of the Ready-Aire replacement compressors. We'll see if that works. Good thing it's cool up here right now so I don't need AC.q3qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq (my son trying to help me type).

We have a heat index of 103 today 'hiding_smilie'

Glad to see your son knows where the 'q' is ...just 25 more letters to go!

I don't know how you guys handle that heat....I'd freakin' die!

Tell you what I still drive Ol' Blue around on the weekends when it hits 102 or 103...just roll the windows down, open the vent windows (aimed at me) and take a ride - guess that's the tropical resilience in me being born in Brazil and raised on the TX coast ;)

Cool. :)

Yeah, opening the windows works really good where it's humid like east
Texas etc. :) BTDT it's cool. :) Shade, full sun doesn't matter, it all feels
the same without a breeze or a fan.

A/C instantly feels good because you aren't that hot really you are just
humid and the A/C drops the dew point and you instantly feel better. :)

Ain't like that in the desert. ;)

Here the pavement gets 140+ and the air coming up off it doesn't help cool
a guy much. ;) Asphalt used to get mushy but they figured out a better
recipe so now it cracks in the winter. LOL :)

We've got more for-nurs (New York Michigan California) here than desert
rats. You can recognize their vehicles in a parking lot, they are dark and
their windows are rolled up.

A dark vehicle can get 180F inside.
The air coming out of 'em feels like when you open an oven.
No kidding on that. :)

106F @ 3560ft @ noon and it rained here last night so everything is cooled
off out there compared to what it would be. LOL :) The weather reports for
southern AZ are sugar coated so as not to "hurt" the economy and draw in
less for-nurs. :/

Alvin in AZ @ 3580 ft and cooler than most here LOL :)
ps- what was the question again? :/

One tip, when you're riding around with it 103 and the windows down DON'T REST YOUR ARM ON THE TOP OF THE DOOR OUT THE WINDOW!!(ask me how I know) Make sure you use the arm rest!! LOL

Right now here it is 96^ heat index makes it feel like 103^ and the Humidity is 45%.

Getting back on topic, Buck can you return the compressor and bracket since it didn't work for you?

I'm supposed to be able too. That's kinda why I ordered it figuring if it didn't work, I could send it back. I do have to pay for return shipping though.

I don't mind driving around with the windows down at all and usually prefer that, but my wife and son don't like it much. They prefer A/C.

I couldn't get the Sanden to work with my brackets/pullys, so I just went with the old York again. Figured I spend more time and cash than what I wanted to just for A/C. It sure does work good though.
