Well, I found something in the LMC Truck mag that looks interesting.

FYI...anything you want of quality or to last a while, stay clear of LMC...most of their stuff is cheap china made stuff that will bend or break easily. Some of the rest of the stuff are reject parts from good manufacturers who charge at a discount fro blem stuff where LMC charges full price. The secret to getting good quality stuff is going through Dennis Carpenter, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard or Green Auto Sales. I've also heard good things about Blue Oval Truck Man, but never gotten anything from him.

I got the USA-630 for the 72 and the dual in dash speaker they have and the Ipod cable. It works great and havent had a lick of trouble with it. It sounds great and would be alot better if that truck had door speakers instead. I ran only door speakers in my 76 and they were great as well I think they were JVC 6 inchers. I just drilled a couple new holes cause the factory ones wouldnt line up.

Thanks for the info about LMC... I just found them online and haven't looked into them much.

JC Whitney did have a cool little lockable box you could put in your glove box that would house a DIN unit... ain't seen a catalog in a while, so they may not offer it anymore

I did a search and it didn't turn up for Fords... Some other makes were listed though...

Why wouldn't you just simply put that 2 post radio in?...or do you already have a DIN mount?

Well, I'd rather put in a cheaper radio of choice than shell out for a replica. And in order to still keep a stock look just hide the new radio.

I didn't think of it like that...makes sense though!

Did you click on that link in my post?

Sure did. I just can't justify paying that much money for a radio when I can just hide one away. I can get a single din radio w/ aux and cd player for $100 or so, but the replica-style ends up being $200 something before a cd changer. If I had the money, I'd go with the replica, though.

It aint a replica its got all the guts of a new one and most all of the features as well it just looks like its original. If ya still use cds then yeah id go with a regular radio but if your just gonna plug your Ipod into it then id go for the other.

The cd is the only setback... I don't like having to flip through my mp3 player while driving.

Didn't notice that. That radio could be an option.

Its all controlled by the radio as well so ya dont have to mess with the Ipod or flash drive.

The flashdrive option is fine. But, I have a Zune instead of an iPod, so I'm not sure how it would do with that.
