I gave that some consideration. I already have another pick up truck. Since there is an auto hobby shop on the base I can use that as an excuse. I'll just throw some spark plugs and such in a bag in case I get stopped. I don't really plan on that much driving though.

in michigan, you can find a plate that was made the year your vehicle was, you can register it to your vehicle, and never renew it again....and there are no limitations on milage or anything. my dad did that with his '69 cougar and he drives it anywhere he wants. i got a '79 plate, just gotta get the truck worth puttin a plate on......

That really wouldn't work here. The plates aren't year specific. NJ used blue plates with yellow lettering for a decade I think. Now they are yellow with black letters. I do know what you mean though.
