A little project thread, with pics

Just thought Id share a little project ive been working on. Im building another wrecker out of a 78 F-150 and a 74 F-350 hears what it looks like so far.

The two trucks I started with. I used the body off the 150 and the frame and suspension from the 350.

Yet to come: Install dually rear end, and replace the 300 six with a 360.

Lookin' good! Can't wait to see it when you're done!!

There is a local Towing service / mechanics shop / tire shop here, that runs 2 4x4 dentside wreckers.
Instead of running duals, they run super singles on the rear axles.
They also have a good supply of dentside parts and complete trucks, but they are expensive when it comes to whole trucks.

They currently have a '79 F-250 4x4 crew cab, flat bed up for sale. (short bed)
It is running and drivable as is, but needs (according to them) all of the wheel bearings repacked, new u joints throughout, and a full tune up.
They are asking $5,500 firm for it. A little high, if you ask me.
