Always a great tip there Tex...heard it many times, but it's always good to be reminded.

Yup! We used that trick to figure out the gears in my brother's D60 that he's swapping into his F250.

I just taped a piece of string to my drive shaft, marked a tire and pushed the truck one tire revolution, then counted the turns of string around the drive shaft. Typical low tech approach! Here's one that Chris gave me a long while back.
