95 f150 4x4 auto trans help please

I found out today that i need a rebuild or a replacement the forward clutch welded it self to the reverse clutch. Will a 93 e4od work i was told it might not

I think in 1995 they made some upgrades to the transmission and it's a little different. I would use one from a 1995 or 1996.

Yes, the '93 E4OD is a direct swap for your '95.

Ford changed the connector style on the MANUAL LEVER POSITION SENSOR (MLPS); so, you may have to transfer the MLPS from the '95 to match your harness.

Also, make sure you get an E4OD that will bolt up to your small block. Big block and Diesel E4OD's have different bell housing bolt patterns and won't fit.

thanks for your input do you have any reference materal stateing that. the only reason i ask is the wrecking yard said only a 94 or a 95 will work. i know that my trans does not have a speedo cable it is all electronic. i got the trans code off the truck today. it is trans U. i just need to find out what trans U is..
