Have a question that hasn't been getting answered anywhere else. I have a 92 F350 that now has a damaged rear pinion gear. Not sure if the rear bearing failed first, or the bolts for the ring gear worked loose first, but the damage is there all the same. What I need to know is a couple things: I have seen mention of the larger pinion bearing on newer than 92 axles, is there any difference on the pinion gear itself, or is it completely different an non-interchangeable with the other axle housings?\
Second part, is there any difference in the carrier other than the notch for the trigger ring, so would it be possible to take an older carrier and fit the trigger ring for the speedo to it? Is the trigger ring available from Ford? Thanks!
