How's it goin. I have a 1979 F-100 custom with a 351m. I am going to add some bolt on parts but before I do that I need a vaccum diagram. I am not worried about smog. Is there any way to get rid of most of the vaccum lines on it or are they all absolutly necessary for the truck to run.

If you want to clean the vacuum hoses to bare minimum just run a vacuum tree off the back of the manifold and attach your Brake booster,A/T hose,.
The Distributor vacuum comes from the carb ported tube.

What Dennis said, the only things that "need" vacuum are the trans modulator, the dizzy and the booster.

Also if he has A/C and power brakes he needs a vacuum reservoir.

I am presently looking for a nice bare bones vacuum diagram for you.
