78 F250 4x4 Exhaust Questions

I have a 78 F250 4x4 with a 400 that has i believe hedman chassis exit headers and the drivers side comes out of the header and runs underneath the auto trans pan towards the pass. side and both come together into a y pipe and a single 3" pipe runs inside of frame rail into a flowmaster muffler and out to tail pipe that runs over the rear axle and out the pass. side behind rear wheel. The exhaust is nice but i do not like how it runs underneath the trans pan and x member because i want to put an aluminum deep pan on in the future. Its tucked up nice everywhere but the trans area where it hangs down and it looks like it would be really hard to modify to not run under the pan. The problem is if i start to modify it i might as well look into a whole new exhaust system including headers but it is so tight under these trucks im not sure what the best options are with the cleanest look tucked up out of the way. Single, dual, what are your opinions and what are you guys running that looks the cleanest and works the best. Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't like my exhaust that close to my automatic trans pan either. Seems like it would be adding extra heat to the fluid, and the trans produces enough heat of its own...

Duals split my exhausts pretty well...or...route out before the tires eliminates some clearance issues...or...you could just dump the exhaust underneath.
