'78 F150 4x2 front suspension capacity

What is the absolute max cap? Are there major differences in the front end design between the 150 and 250 plus? I have a 150 custom, standard cab, long box. I've come across a stupid cheap p pump 6bt and being a diesel mech it's preferable even over the wonderful 300 L6. The inboard end of the traction beams just look a little spindly for the weight of a 900# engine

This might help, it looks like the axle capacity is the same for both the 150 and 250 at 3300#...looks like springs are rated at 2500#

For what it is worth, I took out a 460 and put in a 6BT, made the F350 squat a bit on a 92... As to the strength, being back in that day had kingpins, I doubt the weight will be an issue. As with any other time putting weight on, just be aware the components will need taken care of a bit more is all.
