Never heard of CBs being factory in these rigs...

Yes....my Ford shop manual shows them.

That is really cool...do you know if they were any good or severely underpowered?

I really don't know...my recollection of CB's and SSB radios was that the power output was regulated by the FCC. Given the popularity of CB's in that time, I can't imagine Ford using a POS.

Yeah FCC had a lot to do with it. I had my old Uniden tweaked by a guy who owned his own shop

They're rare and spendy. My parts Supercab had one, the manual for it is still in the glovebox.
