Don't know too much about it, but a couple thoughts would be:
-I assume you're planning to use the trans that came behind the diesel- if it's a manual, you'll have to work out a hydraulic clutch setup; for an auto you'll have to figure out how to make the computer happy enough to shift- pretty sure all the Powerstroke autos were computer-controlled.
-Weight might come into play...I think that engine is a couple hundred pounds heavier than anything originally put in that truck
