6 inch lift bump steer

Hello all,

I know a few guys on here are running the skyjacker 6" lift. I just installed my new TREs and went for a drive. It is horrible. I might have added to my correction. The drag link looks flat, but maybe it is to the ground but not to the geometry of the truck??
You can not see it in the picture, but i am using the 3inch steering block also.

These new springs are softer/bouncier. The truck jumps to driver on compression.

thanks,
Chris

What's your toe-in now, after the TRE change? :)

Alvin,

I forgot to mention, I only changed the drag link ends. Tie rod has not been touched.

I should have said DRE's. Sorry

Solved for now

I put the factory pitman back on and the truck, tapered it to accept the on ton TREs and it steers great, Even though the angle may look flatter with the drop arm, it was too much drop.

So until i find a dana 60, or cross over the 44, I am running Chevy TREs with the steering arm retapered from the top.

The set up is working nicely for the 6 inch lift. If you have a reamer it will save you from buying a 100$ arm. But you will need to buy the Chevy TREs as they are larger
